John could use many different things to improve his working style. Currently it seems like he is carrying around too many bulky things such as maps and a large diary. By using ICT he could rapidly improve his work life enabling him to carry fewer things. All of the things below can easily be found on a laptop or even a mobile phone. Instead of carrying around maps and A-Z city books he could simply invest in a Sat-Nav which could be an enormous time saver as he prides himself on his punctuality. For other needs such as a diary, address book, calculator, sales catalogue and CDs he could use many things such as a PDA, Laptop, Tablet or Mobile phone.

However there are some disadvantages to using ICT. It is not always reliable, with most ICT running on a battery it could run out if you don’t charge it. Also if you drop things such as a laptop or mobile it may break meaning that all of your data could be lost if you don’t back it up.

Overall I believe that moving to ICT would be a great thing to do for John
