4G will allow users to do things faster than what speeds they are already getting. Because of these fast speeds you will have to pay more for your mobile phone land rental contract(over £40+ and cost of phone) and have a mobile phone that is capable of running 4G, which is very few in the UK at the moment. Currently there is only one provider of 4G in the UK at the moment. EE is a new company formed after the combination of T-Mobile and Orange. Now people who were on these networks will be moved to EE 3G and have the ability to get 4G if they feel the need to get it.
I don't think 4G will be as popular as the company would like it to be. People may not want to pay extra just for the faster speeds and think that what they are getting now is good enough. Also with the growing number of BT hot spots across the country people can connect to a free and fast wifi network wherever they are.
